As he grew up, John's parents and teachers worked hard to teach him the value of loving his neighbor as himself and serving his community. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in accounting in 2014 and became a CPA in 2017. Since 2015, he has lived in Ridgeland and worked as an auditor at GranthamPoole PLLC, and he is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Jackson. While living in the metro area, he has sought opportunities to minister to those living around him, that they might know the same deliverance from the bondage of sin which he himself has experienced in Christ.
John's involvement with The Or Project began at a cookout, when Laura Crawford mentioned that they were looking for a treasurer. At the encouragement of Laura, her husband Quinn, and some other friends, he agreed to consider the role, and after meeting with Laura and Mary Beth to learn more about The Or Project's mission and participating in a prayer drive, he officially accepted the position.
John's desire is that God will use him and his co-laborers to bring freedom to those trapped in the sex industry and to bring many into the fold of Christ.
